Deag's Local Diner in Stoughton, which was established in 2018, will be closing on Sunday, March 26 after "336,966 eggs and 124,800 pounds of potatoes," the owners said on Facebook.

"This will be our final day as a brick and mortar but not the end of Deag's," the post reads. "We have decided not to renew our lease here but Joe will continue working the food truck and catering."

Deag's is known for "serving classic eggs dishes and not so ordinary specialities," Owner Joe D. said on Yelp. "Locally sourced fresh ingredients prepared from scratch gives the menu its identity. Specialties from around the country and beyond give something for everyone."

Deag's simple yet expansive menu includes breakfast specialties like chicken & French toast, breakfast quesadilla and several versions of eggs Benedict. Overtime, the cozy café fostered tight relationships as locals became regulars and staff became family.

"Loved everything about Deags, the food, the servers, the homey atmosphere," one person wrote on Deag's post. "Good luck in your new adventure!"

"Nothing in the area compares," another person wrote. "We sometimes try new places, but have found nothing as good. That said, best of luck as you start this new chapter in your life."

"We are forever grateful for all you have done to help make this place such a success," owners Joe and Sandra wrote said at the end of Deag's post. "It is not goodbye but see you soon."

Updates about Joe's ventures with catering will be posted on Deag's Facebook
